Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation

Listen up—this is a big deal. The queen of the flawless face, Laura Mercier, has created yet another new and wonderful essential for perfecting your complexion. Crème Smooth Foundation, a lightweight water-resistant formula, is her first new foundation in five years. Loaded with soft-focus optical diffusers, the formula works to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and never settles into skin for a cakey finish. The silky smooth texture is packed in a pretty glass jar, which is set to last you two years with moderate use. As you hardcore Mercier fans may know, Laura recommends applying foundation with fingertips or with her foundation sponges, but this foundation also features a spatula that works wonders as well.

Some of Laura’s top artists from around the world are already in love with this innovative foundation. See what they had to say:

Jarvis Johnson (Global Artist)
“You’ll see visibly firmer and smoother skin in just 4 weeks! This ingredient savvy flawless formula glides on the skin effortlessly.”

Barbie Laurino (Global Artist)
“I can't live without it! My skin looks so smooth—I use this every day. The formula was created with good-for-you ingredients.”

Sean Stevenson (Global Trainer)
“What an easy and moldable foundation! I apply this on my celebrity clientele. They all love it, as it photographs really well.”

Tips & Tricks For Application:
Tip 1: When applying this foundation, use a very small amount with your fingers. Glide your fingers over any areas of imperfection building the coverage where needed. This foundation is intended to glide on very silky and smooth to mimic the skin. By using your fingers you’ll get a very natural light to medium soft, glowing finish.

Tip 2: Using a sponge to stipple on the foundation will give any woman a velvety finish. Pressing the foundation into the areas of imperfection. This foundation will never look heavy or thick on the skin. Start in the outer areas of the skin, working your sponge towards the center of the face to create even, natural looking coverage.

Hi Jessica,

It is not oil free. The formula contains argan oil and currant seed oil.

Dear Readers!

Sorry for any confusion here. It will now be available for purchase online September 15, but it is available in stores now!

Thanks for the reply Sydney, so would this not be a good product to try if you have oily skin? Would it make your skin more oily?

I was at the San Francisco store along Powell Street just a while ago, looking for it, and it is not out yet. :( Huge disappointment.

Jessica,
Sorry I missed your other question!

Even though there's oil in the formula, oily skin loves the argan oil because it's very lightweight. It's perfectly fine for use on any skin type, including oily.

The 'water-resistant' word had me pinged. I sweat like crazy in the summer just by going out into the sun for 5 minutes and makeup just doens't seem to stick to my face all that long.

Went to to NYC Sephoras, and not only did they not have it - they didn't even know what I was talking about! What's with the Tweet if you don't carry it!

What kind of finish does this have? Matte, velvet, satin luminous or dewy? I use Laura Mercier's Mineral Powder in the loose formula and love the finish of that, but it dries out my skin sometimes, yet I'm combination to oily. Will this be a good replacement?
