Valentines’ Day already? Although I feel like I just barely survived the winter holidays, I suppose this one is much more light-hearted and much less stressful. My boyfriend and I don’t usually do anything to big to celebrate—usually a dinner date or something mellow—but this year, I’ve decided to give little gifts to some girlfriends to remind them of how much I appreciate them. I remember being a kid and loving the little paper cards with candy taped to them–why not make some more grown-up Valentines using cute beauty products? The LORAC Be Mine Collection is so cute and makes for an amazing gift. You get three eye shadows, shimmering pink blush, thickening mascara, and a pink Multiplex 3D lip gloss—all packaged in a cute black pouch. A set of essentials lets any friend know you care.
Aptly-named for the purpose of my Valentines’ shopping, the Bare Escentuals Girlfriend Collection is another killer set of makeup must-haves. Complete with two eye shadows, blush, sheer finishing powder, eyeliner, lip polish, and a makeup brush—what more could you need?
I’m going crazy over the Stila Make Me Blush Set. The blush has cute, shimmering hearts all over it, and it gives your cheeks a sweet flush of pink. It comes with two of their much-loved Lip Glazes, in red and pink. All three pieces in the set are fairly neutral shades, so they’re great for any skintone.
