Can Makeup Improve Your Career?

In the past few months, I’ve started wearing makeup every day. It isn’t a lot, just a smooth over dark circles here and a lessening of redness there. While I’m at it, I also apply a swipe of mascara and, of course, a bit of my trusty lip gloss. The move was mostly due to the fact that since I’m a bit north of 30 my skin has become less than glowing on its own. And according to a new report by Business Insider, I may be helping my bank account. The report, which talked about the relationship between all manner of physical appearances and salaries, quoted a positive when it comes to women wearing makeup in the office. Some folks mentioned that fresh-faced in the business place seems more lazy than natural and 64% of those polled said makeup wearers look more professional. What do you think about these statements?
