In the past few months, I’ve started wearing makeup every day. It isn’t a lot, just a smooth over dark circles here and a lessening of redness there. While I’m at it, I also apply a swipe of mascara and, of course, a bit of my trusty lip gloss. The move was mostly due to the fact that since I’m a bit north of 30 my skin has become less than glowing on its own. And according to a new report by Business Insider, I may be helping my bank account. The report, which talked about the relationship between all manner of physical appearances and salaries, quoted a positive when it comes to women wearing makeup in the office. Some folks mentioned that fresh-faced in the business place seems more lazy than natural and 64% of those polled said makeup wearers look more professional. What do you think about these statements? And would you wear makeup to get ahead? Talk amongst yourself while I go ask for a raise. Swak –Jenna Mahoney

Sadly, I think it can. Just like how my blond friends say they get discriminated against because of their hair color, I've noticed men in the workplace pay more attention to women with makeup.
It TOTALLY helps! I use to have a job where I had to get customers to sign up for credit cards. Well, The days I didn't wear make up, I would be lucky if I got 1 customer to do it, and that was pretty rare. The days I did wear make up I was guaranteed at least 2 customers to sign up. I told my boss about this and if she notice me coming in without make up, she would have me run across the way to sephora to apply some lol.
Ive always wore make up so I could not awser that question. But I can see where that could help difiantly. I think make up just enhances the beauy one already ahs and helps lift your spirits and a more youthful look. Blessings
I have noticed that people are MUCH nicer to me when I am wearing makeup! I also get more attention from men. SO worth it!
I think it can be a great impact if you look good yourself. Makeup can be one factor in one's career but of course it really depends on one's attitude towards work.
I notice in general I get better service & being treated MUCH better when I'm wearing makeup. So it definitely improve career!
Make up should just enhance your natural beauty. Although it does help conceal some flaws but it should never be overdone.
