FASHION WEEK: TEMPTU for Herve Leger by Max Azria

SHOW:
Herve Leger by Max Azria
MAKEUP:
TEMPTU

HIGHLIGHTS: Matte airbrushed skin, golden shimmer on the eyes, a light coat of mascara, and a dab of beige-pink lip color marked the “powerful Grecian" look TEMPTU key artist Lisa Butler created for Herve Leger’s body-conscious collection.

IN THEIR WORDS: “The clothes are all very slick, and we wanted to keep up the slickness with the makeup,” said Butler backstage before the show. “We decided to do an airbrushed foundation to get that finish. Your body almost looks airbrushed when you’re in these clothes because they’re so blended to your shape. We wanted to do that same look for the skin.”

GET IT:
Butler first prepped the skin with TEMPTU BASE Smooth and Matte Primer, which smoothes and mattifies the skin. She then used the AIRpod Foundation to polish the complexion, using a slightly darker shade of the foundation to lightly contour the cheekbones.

To achieve glowing golden eyes, Butler warmed the lid with the AIRpod Bronzer in Warm Glow and added AIRpod Highlighter in Gold to the tear duct area. Next, she used the AIRpod Brow (new Spring 2012) and freehand stencils to achieve a soft, yet defined shape to the brows. “Jennifer Connelly was the inspiration for the brow,” Butler said. “They’re full, but not dark. The top has a bit of a straight line, and then a soft curve.”

Finally, Butler finished this look with Color Concentrate Lip Color in VIP (new Spring 2012) for a natural flush of color and applied a light coat of mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

I like how this girl looks because she's so natural and that's the way we can see the real beauty of a woman.
