They are apparently a 'new trend', one which not many people here will be buying into anyway-I actually saw a woman in a pair the other week in my shopping centre and eveyone was turning around as she walked past, she was like something from Aladdin! Fanny packs(although we call them bum bags ha ha) are more common on the continent in places like Italy as one person pointed out above than they would be in Ireland or England.
