I love Revitalash. I have been using this product for over two years. The tube has lasted over one year after applying nightly to both my top and bottom lashes. This product has never irritated my eyes and I have no eyelid discoloration. I don't know if the formula has been changed and will not know until I purchase another tube (which I will). I agree with the last comments, but would go even further. The public should consider anything with Vit A Acic,Retinols or a variety of skin treatments sold by companies like Jamieson as medications as well. Lets also be careful to oversee medical products like Botox as well, and be sure that only Medical professionals are treating patients with them. While we are at it lets define what a drug is, you see water can be considered a drug if it has a medical claim associated with it like; "TREATS DEHYDRATION". If a company claimed this new breakthrough H20 re-hydrates, they would need to provide clinical data to the FDA, and the next thing you know you have an indication for dehydration treatment and H2O is a drug. From what I have read about these cosmetic agents, they have been on the market for years now and all combine these agents have millions of client days of safety, it is likely they have more client years of use than even Latisse. One has to wonder if these cosmetics, have a better track record of safety than say Latisse with its limited clinical data and very little consumer use?

Addressing a previous comment, FDA in fact DOES have a say in the cosmetic industry-the FOOD, DRUG & COSMETIC ACT was passed in 1938 giving them this power.

For those who really want the same results they saw with the older product, a medication (as it SHOULD be called) is now available by prescription only, called Latisse for growing eyelashes-I would strongly recommend asking a physician if it is safe and appropriate for you rather than trying to get a hold of an old product that has been discontinued for good reason.

Unfortunately, I can relate to what is being said about lashes falling out after no longer using the product. It's really crap, my right eye is really sparse. Before using this product I would simply curl my lashes with an eyelash curler, using no mascara or anything else, and therefore I thought this would be a good product for me. But now I don't even have long enough lashes to do that.

Firstly, I am an optometrist who has experience in prescribing Latisse and its active ingredient as a glaucoma drug, Lumigan. I think it's important for Revitalash users to realize that Revitalash is a consumer cosmetic product. It does NOT grow eyelashes. It does however, give the APPEARANCE of fuller, thicker eyelashes (similar to mascaras). There is no active ingredient in Revitalash to actually GROW the eyelash. As a Licensed and practicing Master Aesthetician I offer the following:
I have used the old formula of Revitalash as well as the new. It has worked beautifully for 2 years.

The multi physician practice I work in carries Allergan's Latisse. I will neither use, sell or reccomend Latisse for my clients!!! One of our nursed had her Baby Blues turn Brown permanently. The packaging of Latisse is ridiculous. Seperate brushes and it only lasts a month @ an average cost of $125.00. The Revitalash lasts on average of 6 months or more. I have Green eyes and they still are- I have experiened some pigment changes on the upper lid (darkening) but I don't mind as it just looks like a bit of eyeliner.
Ladies, I've always purchased my Revitalash off of E-bay and never payed more than $75. You simply check the reputation of the seller 1st. PS- Had to actually trim my lashes due to hitting my sunglass lenses!!! It is with the utmost respect and honesty I submit this to you.

I have read posts and comments on this board and others about RevitaLash, and it becomes evident that there are some people posting with hidden agendas. These people reply to their own comments. They also mention other products by name pretending to be introducing them to you, then they provide a pile of tag lines with specific benefits. It is more than transparent that these clowns think they are fooling readers. and benefits to consumers. An honest straw pole of RevitaLash users would likely yield great results to be sure. There are usually solid reasons for why a company and product are regarded and accepted so well. If you are thinking about using RevitaLash, then that is the one to try.

Hello. I’ve recently just started using Enormous Lash, so I cannot comment on its effectiveness, but it is currently paraben and prostaglandin free. It HAS BEEN reformulated. The old formula contained prostagladin, but the new DOES NOT at this time. I have green eyes, so had no interest in taking a risk with something that might alter my eye color, or cause vision problems, etc. I have read many reviews about the new formula, and many people appear to have great results with it. I, personally, would still be too afraid to use Revitalash, or any of the current products on the market with prostaglandin in them. Just one word of warning to those who do; my son was born with hypo-plastic left heart syndrome, and aortic stenosis. Basically, the left side of his heart and his aorta were too small to function. He received a heart transplant, but until a heart became available (he waited for 3 mos.), prostaglandin was the drug used to keep the ductus of his heart open. BTW, they only used a couple of drops daily to do that. In my opinion, a drug that is strong enough to do something of that nature is far too dangerous to use as a beauty product. We were told that there ARE many side effects to prostaglandin 14 years ago when our son was receiving this drug. We were also told that it is a powerful drug. I am not trying to scare anyone, just recommend that you do your research. The current ingredients in Enormous Lash are: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerine, Potassium Olivoyl PCA, Arginine, Alanyk Glutamine, Saccharomyces/Copper Ferment, Phospholipids, Sphingolipids, Panthenol, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Isopentyl glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Trisoium EDTA. I was looking at revitalash for eyebrow growth--overplucked one too many times. I can say this about the glaucoma medicine--I have been on glaucoma drops for five years. My eyelashes were always pretty good, but they are now really, really long and full for someone sixty years old. My doctor told me the side effects of my green eyes turning brown were very rare. And a side effect of glaucoma drops would not be raised ocular pressure--they bring my pressures down. Still, I will check with my doctor on revitalash--I would not want to double up.

I'm asian and have virtually NO eyelashes; very few, very thin and very short. If I wore mascara, it wouldn't do anything because I virtually had nothing to work with. My parents bought Revitalash for me this past Christmas, I didn't actually start using it until 2 weeks ago to see if it worked. (I'd also worn fake lashes) This stuff works. My lashes are visible, there are more of them! and when I put on mascara, I can actually see the difference! So instead of wearing fake eyelashes, I'm actually out trying new mascaras to see which ones work the best. At least I have lashes to "build" on now. I love this stuff! So far I've seen no side effects and will continue to use it. It works!

I have a new tube of Revitalash that a friend brought me when she came to Mexico, where I live. I've been using it for only two weeks, no side effects or changes yet...that's Ok. However, my concern would be what happens when I stop using it? Someone on this forum said her lashes fell out when she stopped using it!! Yikes!! I'm an asian girl. Both of my sister-in-law had been using revitalash, and I can see the difference from them now.. their lashes are much longer and thicker. I was amazed, and no side affects at all. When they just bought the bottles and ask me if i want to use it too.. but they scared me by warning that if I do use it, just becareful not to use it when I wear contact lenses becuz my eyes might get burn from the product if I accidently drop into my eyes so I didn't want to take the risk. Now, I don't know if I should be regetting or not for not buying it when the price was only $80 rising up to $120 now. I've never posted on any of these sites, but have been reading everyone's comments and feel that I need to add my experience as well. I have used 2 tubes of revitalash and had wonderful results. I have since used a tube of it and lost a lot of eyelashes and they are no longer long. They are very short and I got no results. I spoke with one of my friends the other day about it and she informed me that the same thing happened to her and that an ingredient was taken out. I will not be using this product anymore as it doesn't work any longer. I am assuming the people that are still getting results have their hands on the old product, before it was altered.

I just came across Revitalash recently, and was thinking of using it to get those fluttery lashes. However the £95 pricetag is a bit out of range to be honest. A tip that l can pass on to you girls is that you can just massage a couple of drops of castor oil used with a clean cotton bud into ur eyelashes every night and that will make ur lashes grow too. I know it is commonly used as a constipation remedy, but l've used it myself and l can assure you it has no side effects whatsoever. Also if u want ur eyebrows to go thicker/fuller then u can use castor oil in the same way on brows as well. You can get it from any pharmacy and it is so much cheaper compared to any cosmetic product claiming to grow ur lashes. Give me some feedback on how u get on with it. Trust me. Im a beautician, lolz. x x x x

I used Revitalash for about one year prior to the change in formula. Darn FDA! Everything was fine until they came to "rescue" us. The Revitalash gave me fantastic lashes, and a slight darkening of the skin right at the eyelid (which I sort of liked). The long lashes gave me a younger look and I loved it. A routine visit to my eye surgeon gave my eyes a perfect bill of health and his comment that he didn't think the ingredient would cause me harm. After Revitalash changed its formula, I quit getting the fantastic results, quit using the product, and my eyelashes went back to their usual skimpy selves. I was so excited when Latisse came out. My eye surgeon gave me the prescription and I have been using it about 12 weeks. The results are NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD as the original formula Revitalash, but there is some improvement, so I will probably keep using it. The applicators with Latisse are ridiculous and one wouldn't really want them near their eyes, so I use a good eyeliner brush. The experience overall has been one big disappointment. I miss the good old days . . . Allergan (the maker of Latisse) apparently didn't consult women or cosmetic professionals in their quest to get their product out.

I use revitalash since December 2008. I found it on a visit to a doctor's office. I thought it was safe because it is being sold by a well known dermatologist. It definitely costs more $175 for a tube. My lashes would not grow back after I had lash extension, but after using revitalash consistently every night after 3 months, i saw a big improvement.. My lashes grew back, finally! I was so happy but there is a problem---I also now have discoloration on the eyelids and obvious irritation,swelling and thinning on the skin where the revitalash gets in contact with. I would like to stop it now and try other products. thank you for eeryone who took time to wite the blogs---i read them all. I can easily get prescription for Allergan's Latisse but is it safer just because it is FDA approved??

Chest pain/angina pectoris, muscle/joint/back pain, and rash/allergic skin reaction each occurred at a rate of 1 to 2%. I understand that some of these companies are now putting this stuff in hair products, in higher concentrations and these are going to cover larger surface areas.
