A Green Girl's Green Picks At Sephora

I'm what you might call Peeping Thomasina.

I never miss a chance to peek inside another girl's makeup bag, or sneak a look at the contents of another shopper's basket. It's the same reason I'm addicted to blogs and customer reviews: I love seeing what everyone else is buying, trying, and wearing.

So of course I'm all eyes when I see that The Green Makeup Artist took a trip to Sephora recently in search of sweet green treats for her face (phew! say that one three times real fast!).

Wanna know what makes a green gal swoon?

Tarte
Picks like Glam Gams Leg Bronzing Stick and Cheek Stain became GMA's new favs.

Why Tarte? Tarte's makeup motto is "Health Couture,"and their beauty products are stuffed with natural ingredients, vitamins, and anything wholesome. Makes this a very pretty pick.

Bare Escentuals
Okay, this one is totally cheating. Everyone who tries BE loves BE (hello cult favorite!). But the big standout was one of their newer dusters: The Geniune Jade Beauty Duo. With jade!

Bare Escentuals fans flock to it for what's not in those cute little compacts: Preservatives, dyes, talc, fragrances, chemicals, irritants...you get the idea.

She Who Sleeps With Makeup On

People magazine just published their 100 Most Beautiful list. I'm not going to spoil the surprise, but I will tell you that the cover girl confesses to what is known as The Worst Cosmetic Crime Ever Committed: She sleeps (gasp!) in her makeup.

You left-brainers can probably hear her pores screaming all the way from Hollywood. To all the right-brainers who are too busy popping your pimples, flatironing your hair and lining the insides of your eyes to wipe down your faces at night, I hear ya.

In fact, I have a list of favorite things to sleep in:

Bare Escentuals RareMinerals Blemish Therapy

I know I mentioned this before, but try going to bed sans washing and still waking up with fewer blemishes. Ding! Instant fan!

Stila Smudge Pots
Jenny's Best Tip Ever Alert! Master smoky eyes by grabbing a Smudge Pot and sleeping in it. The formula is creamy enough to self-smudge just a little, but still rich enough to outlast the effects of your pillow.

Bliss The Youth As We Know It
This luxe moisturizing cream is chock o'block with hydrators, ceramides, wrinkle relaxers, peptides...I mean, who in their right mind would ever wipe it off?

Urban Decay Liquid Liner
Put this on, go to work, come home, go to bed, and wake up the next morning with your liner STILL INTACT. It's black magic beauty.

Benefit You Rebel Lite SPF 15
I put this on during the day, and if I fudge and sleep with it on, who cares? It's full of antioxidants, aloe vera, and allantoin for soft and pretty morning-after skin.

Finally! Take Your Minerals To Go

We are living in a mineral world. And we are mineral girls, thanks to Sephora Brand's newest innovation, the Professionnel Refillable Powder Brush. Why? First of all, we have yet to see anything like it! It smartly and safely takes our mineral makeup on the go—mess-free, no less. The fatty, plush brush head really buffs the powder in for undetectable coverage, too. Luckily, this perfection-creating invention doesn't discriminate, so you can pack it with any loose powder, bronzer, blush, or body shimmer. And not to worry if you're a bit of a butterfingers—it comes with a small scoop to help transfer the makeup into the brush's secure well, spill-free. (That's right.) After all, any tool that saves our beauty makes our rainy day.
